The number of infected Covid19 has grown to an alarming number, standing at 9020 as at 29 May 2021
NUBE urged the government to lockdown earlier, nevertheless we appreciate the decision made now.
A number of our members and their families have been infected. Despite this, some reported they are not receiving the needed attention and treatment from both government and private hospitals immediately.
Therefore, banks and financial institutions should also be locked down for 14 days, on staggered basis. This will help curb the infection.
We trust YAB PM will urge MOSTI and MITI to expedite the vaccine for Frontliners in the banking industry.
