GROUP MULTIPLE BENEFITS INSURANCE SCHEME (GMBIS)
Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad together with NUBE has launched an investment linked GMBIS scheme with investment based on the RESTU FUND.
This scheme covers all members of NUBE, their legal spouse and children. This scheme also provides coverage against 45 critical Illnesses.
GMBIS provides coverage up to RM200,000 (with a premium from RM1.83/RM3.67 a day).

One of the special features of this scheme is that you may sell some of the units in your fund after contributing for at least 12 months.
Eligibility & Participation:
- Members and legal spouses aged between 19 to 60 age next birthday.
- Children aged between 30 days old to 19 or 23 years for fulltime students. This is applicable for unmarried and unemployed children only.
- Coverage for dependants can be extended only if the member participates in the scheme.
NUBE provides this product in collaboration with Great Eastern Life Assurance (Malaysia) Berhad to enable NUBE members to have a choice to make in ensuring that they and their family members have appropriate protection.
Approximately RM30 million in claims were paid out for the GMBIS scheme under NUBE since the year 1986.
